When she’s not crafting tales of chipmunks and hummingbirds, Leslie can be found exploring the forests of the American West with her husband and their two faithful dogs. Her writing is deeply influenced by these wilderness excursions, where she observes the small wonders that most adults rush past but children instinctively treasure.

As a mother of three and grandmother to seven lively grandchildren, Leslie understands what captivates young imaginations. She draws inspiration from their questions, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder at the natural world.
